Cross My Heart

Now and then

Do you wash your hands of me again

Wish me anywhere but home

Drunk and on the end of your phone

From time to time

Do you guess whats really on my mind

Guess that How youre keeping now

Means Where are you sleeping now

CHORUS 1

But, of course, its not polite to ask you where you spent last night

And if I did, you might reply that I have no right

And anyway, Im fine, glad that youre no longer mine

If I should tell a lie, cross my heart and hope to die

Youd be appalled

If you knew what I was doing when you called

Yes, I can see Im blundering

And I always end up wondering

CHORUS 2

Will it ever be all right to ask you where you spent last night?

And can it be polite the way we never write

Cause I dont have the time and anyway, Im fine

If I should tell a lie, cross my heart and hope to die

AD LIB

Ooh yeah

[Repeat CHORUS 1]

I hope we never die [3x], yeah

Cross my heart [8x till fade]

Shiver

So I look in your direction
But you pay me no attention, do you?
I know you don't listen to me
'Cos you say you see straight through me, don't you?

on and on
From the moment I wake, to the moment I sleep
I'll be there by your side; just you try and stop me
I'll be waiting in line, just to see if you care

Oh…
Did you want me to change?
Well I'd change for good
And I want you to know that you'll always get your way
I wanted to say…

Don't you shiver
Shiver
Sing it loud and clear
I'll always be waiting for you

So you know how much I need you
But you never even see me, do you?
And is this my final chance of getting you

And on and on
From the moment I wake, to the moment I sleep
I'll be there by your side; just you try and stop me
I'll be waiting in line, just to see if you care

Oh…
Did you want me to change?
Well I'd change for good
And I want you to know that you'll always get your way
I wanted to say…

Don't you shiver
Don't you shiver
Sing it loud and clear
I'll always be waiting for you

Yeah I'll always be waiting for you
Yeah I'll always be waiting for you
Yeah I'll always be waiting for you, for you
I will always be waiting…

And it's you I see but you don't see me
And it's you I hear so loud and so clear
I sing it loud and clear
And I'll always be waiting for you

So I look in your direction
But you pay me no attention
And you know how much I need you
But you never even see me

New song I like - Maroon 5's Makes Me Wonder

I like Maroon 5's new song. It's so funky and fresh... When they performed it live in American Idol, I didn't mind it but after a few playbacks, it started to grow on me. It's on my iPod now.

I'd like to imagine I'm saying this to a certain someone.

Anyway, check it out!
Here's the video or (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrF8vxLRDNE)

and the lyrics:

[Verse]
I wake up with blood-shot eyes
Struggled to memorize
The way it felt between your thighs
Pleasure that made you cry
Feels so good to be bad
Not worth the aftermath, after that
After that
Try to get you back

[Bridge]
I still don't have the reason
And you don't have the time
And it really makes me wonder
If I ever gave a f**k about you

[Chorus]
Give me something to believe in
Cause I don't believe in you
Anymore, Anymore
I wonder if it even makes a difference to try
(Yeah)So this is goodbye

[Verse]
God damn, my spinning head
Decisions that made my bed
Now I must lay in it
And deal with things I left unsaid
I want to dive into you
Forget what you're going through
I get behind, make your move
Forget about the truth

[Bridge]
I still don't have the reason
And you don't have the time
And it really makes me wonder
If I ever gave a f**k about you

[Chorus 1 + 2]
Give me something to believe in
Cause I don't believe in you
Anymore, Anymore
I wonder if it even makes a difference,
It even makes a difference to try (yeah)
And you told me how you're feeling
But I don't believe it's true
Anymore, Anymore
I wonder if it even makes a difference to cry
(Oh no)
So this is goodbye

[Breakdown]
I've been here before
One day a week
And it won't hurt anymore
You caught me in a lie
I have no alibi
The words you say don't have a meaning
Cause..

[Bridge]
I still don't have the reason
And you don't have the time
And it really makes me wonder
If I ever gave a f**k about you and I...
and so this is goodbye

[Chorus 1 + 2]
Give me something to believe in
Cause I don't believe in you,
Anymore, Anymore
I wonder if it even makes a difference,
It even makes a difference to try
And you told me how you're feeling
But I don't believe it's true
Anymore Anymore
I wonder if it even makes a difference to cry
(Oh no)
So this is goodbye
So this is goodbye, yeah (x 3)
(Oh no)

Time of the Season

Ahoy, mateys!

American Idol theme nights usually help me remember songs from yesteryear. Eliott Yamin did it a few times last year, so I got to revisit 'Moody's Mood for Love', 'I Believe to My Soul', 'Teach Me Tonight', 'What You Won't Do For Love', 'A Song for You' and 'Knocks Me Off My Feet', to name a few. These are all still in my iPod! =)

A couple of days ago, I saw Blake Lewis perform "Time of the Season" by the Zombies in American Idol, and boy did that bring back memories (Not of that time ha? coz I wasn't even born yet! Mostly of the times when I first listened to those kinds of songs - when I was in college with my barkada). I generally like songs from the British Invasion, and this was one of my favorites. It was jazzy and even pimpy because of the lyrics. Blake put a modern twist to it by putting his usual beatbox routine and his strut dance moves. It was a great performance!

To those who don't know the song, maybe you've encountered it already. It's on the episode of Friends, TOW the Flasback. It's the song that played on the Jukebox in Rachel's dream sequence when she was fantasizing about Chandler.

This song was also played in the background in an episode of The Simpsons, more specifically episode "D'oh-in In the Wind" in which Homer briefly becomes a hippie.

The term, 'Who's Your Daddy?' arguably traces its roots from this song.

Here are the lyrics:

It's the time of the season
When the love runs high
In this time, give it to me easy
And let me try
With pleasured hands

To take you and the sun to
Promised lands
To show you every one
It's the time of the season for loving

What's your name?
(What's your name?)
Who's your daddy?
(Who's your daddy? He rich?)
Is he rich like me?

Has he taken
(Has he taken)
Any time
(Any time to show)
To show you what you need to live?
Tell it to me slowly
Tell you what?
I really want to know
It's the time of the season for loving

What's your name?
(What's your name?)
Who's your daddy?
(Who's your daddy? He rich?)
Is he rich like me?

Has he taken
(Has he taken)
Any time
(Any time to show)
To show you what you need to live?
Tell it to me slowly
Tell you what?
I really want to know
It's the time of the season for loving

Kahit Pa

Muling lalapit
Ang liwanag sa paligid
At ang tinig
Na sa akin nagsasabing

Hindi mapipigil ng mundo
Papatunayan ang pangako

Dahil kailangan ka
Kailangang pakita natin tayo’y iba
At kahit pa
Hindi papipigil sa mundo
At sa umagang darating
Lahat ay aking kakayanin
At kahit pa ikaw lang at ako

Huwag mong iisipin
Ang mga harang sa atin
At ang ihip ng hangin ay darating

Bigla lang titigil ang mundo
At ang lahat ay maglalaho

Hindi ko man hawak ang panahon
Maging ang ikot ng buhay
Basta’t ikaw at ikaw pa rin
Ikaw at ikaw pa rin

Broken Sonnet

And now I concede on the night of this fifteenth song
Of melancholy, of melancholy
And now I will admit in this fourth line
That I love you I love you
I don’t care what they say
I don’t care what they do

‘Cause tonight I leave my fears behind
‘Cause tonight I’ll be right at your side

The clock on the TV says 8:39pm
It’s the same it’s the same
And in this next line I’ll say it all over again
That I love you I love you

Lie down right next to me
And I will never let you go
But still I see the tears from your eyes
Maybe I’m just not the one for you
