My maldito boy

My youngest son Ethan and I have a new thing nowadays. Whenever I skype them, I usually talk to him 1 on 1. He'll wear the headphones & mic and we'll talk. Whenever I talk, he lets out this very impish but cute laugh. I think he gets tickled by the sound coming from the earphones. Hehehe...

He's so cute when he says "Daddd-dy, Daddd-dy! Daddd-dy, Daddd-dy! Hewwo dadd-dy, I wa-b you" Sooo Cute!

Nikki's song for me

here's my son Nikki's song for me:

"Today is my day,
Today is my birthday,
Happy, happy birthday to me!"

even though it was MY birthday.

Thanks Nikki! Daddy loves you!

"We all use math everyday.
to forecast weather...
to tell time...
to handle money.

We also use math to analyze crime...
reveal patterns...
predict behavior.

Using numbers,
we can solve the biggest mysteries we know."

Walking Home

With feet still sore from snowboarding last weekend, me and my friends found ourselves walking home last night.

Seemed there was a magnitude 5.1 earthquake around 8:30 last night, which caused the trains to stop running. Well, not all trains. Just the one we need to ride to get home.

Fresh from a refreshing dinner of Chuumori Chashumen at our favorite place in Yokohama, we found out that the trains stopped. We got the 振替輸送切符(Furikae Yusou kippu) and transferred to the subway up to Shin Yokohama. That's where the problem began. As you see, although we managed to get nearer our place, there are no other trains going to our accommodations from Shin Yokohama. All we have left is either go home by bus or taxi. It was already late then and from reading the bus schedules, there seemed to be no buses left. We fell in line for like 30 mins then felt we had to decide on another option. The taxi line was also long, so we agreed on walking towards Kozukue and try to hail any empty taxi passing. We were able to reach Kozukue, around 2 kms away and were able to flag a taxi down. K, V & J went down in front of their apartments, and I proceeded to Tokaichiba. The bill was a healthy 3,520 yen, medyo mabigat. I took a chance on applying for a reimbursement today, and thank God it was approved!

Wasn't able to sleep well last night, though. That's why now my eyes are drooping. I'm doing everything I could to keep from dozing, hence this blog. I sure hope I didn't bore you.
