dance!

Just got back from Roppongi. Me and the gang went there Sat night and danced til the wee hours of the morning of Sunday. It's been a long time since I went dancing. They say, it's the movement of the soul, and I wholeheartedly agree. I don't know why and even when I started dancing, but I could say it has always been part of my life. Just listening to dance music from my iPod on the train kinda makes me move... move like a freakin' smokin' dancer.

It's kinda odd rin for me to be like this. You see, I'm a rocker at heart too, and parang hindi bagay, at first. But music transcends all barriers, so I guess I'm proud to be rocker with moves.

I remember going to discos when I was younger. [Mind you, though they're called discos, the music wasn't from the disco era. They should have been called dance clubs or simply clubs, but that's neither here nor there na. Anyhoo, moving on...] Absorbing the beat, your body just moves. I never had formal training, but just copied what I saw from TV and I had my share of MTVs, the Jacksons, the different dance groups and whatever... At least hindi ako yung clapping while moving the feet lang... hehehe...

I also remember dancing with the ladies... It's nice to meet these girls at dance clubs, who can express themselves freely.... and sensually. They say if you get a girl who has great moves on the dance floor, chances are, she'll have greater moves somewhere else, hahaha!

Grabe, talung-talo ng pinoy DJs yung mga mixers na nasa club the other night. their transitions aren't well-timed, their playlist of dance tracks aren't that good and the mixing needs a lot of improvement. Not to mention that the dance floor was oh so hot!!! Hello, anybody heard of airconditioning?!!! But all in all, because of the mood that night, my friends who were with me and the hot young things writhing their bodies I'd say it was a GREAT night. Now, if I could just remember all the steps from Thriller, which was played around 4 times that night...
